I almost died at the end of this past September. I wound up very seriously injured and basically sidelined from life for the past 4 months. Put a lot of things in perspective, and also left me with some huge messes to address, unfinished business, disrupted business, all of that bad stuff. Anyhoo, anyone else ever have their life nearly ended and completely altered by a near-fatal incident?

I was 10 and i was riding this horse. And for some unknown reason it freaked out and ran throught the gate. I was screaming for help. As the horse kept running i fell off to the side and then fell to the ground. I busted my knee and elbow open and i had bumped my head. Now all i have is a scar on my knee and elbow.

GTA 4 LAG PROBLEM !!?
The game i mostly play is GTA 4, it runs fine as long it is sunny weather and noon. But as soon as it starts to rain/fog and to be midnight GTA IV starts lagging like hell. The fps becomes something like 15.

So is this a gpu problem or what ??

Nvidia 250 GST (512MB) ddr3
3 gb ram.

I think my system is pretty much capable to run gta 4 without such errors !!

rockstar is infamous for making bad PC engines, as a game it is designed to run on systems with about 4 cores and getting at least 3 Ghz not to mention using about 6 gigs of ram, you fairly lucky it only is happening when it starts raining/fog. nothing is wrong that can’t be fixed with expensive upgrades, sorry

GTA4 consumes too much video card processing power and memory. it need 1.7GB+ video memory with full graphics to run properly.

when fog or rain starts. Graphic card processes that fog and other effect and also processes other elements and textures. 512mb is not sufficient for those high quality textures during rain/fog effects. so it lags.

set resolutions and graphics to low and this may help.

What does this dream mean?
Ok, here’s a little bit about Tori and my Half-aunt ( they are very important in the dream ). Ok, my aunt Rozzenna who is my moms sister gave birth to Tori and then gave her up for adoption. Tori then got adopted my my dad’s half sister Cindy who wanted another child only to not take care of Tori. Cindy has been taking drugs since before me and Tori were born. When, Tori was twelve she ( Cindy ) met a younger man and ran away with him. When, the guy got arrested she came back and waited for him to get out of prison to run away again. Tori began cutting herself and became deeply depressed ( and she still is ). Cindy is back because she broke up with the man and Tori is with her every other weekend. Tori began dating this fifteen year old named Dante from New York 17 months ago when she was still thirteen or fourteen. We found out Dante is actually 16 when he came to visit her three weeks ago. Ok, here is the dream.

It started out with me and Tori sitting in a room. On my side it was covered in light and her’s was completely dark. She was wearing her normal dark and baggy clothing while I was wearing a short white and flowing dress. We were talking about why she became like this and what I can do to bring the old her back. Preparations for going to University in the USA?
Hi

I’m a current Exchange student in the USA and I’m thinking about coming back here after I finished my school in Switzerland. I have to more years to go until I get my "higher education entrance qualification". (I have no idea what they would call it here, that’s what I read on Wikipedia ) After that, I would like to go to University in the USA. I looked online at some colleges and Universities in Mississippi, Tennessee and mainly Alabama.
Because of the high not-in-state costs I’m thinking about moving into the state I would like to go to university and I would attend a junior college for one year, take some courses and work a lot and then change to the university.
Now do you think it’s possible to get a Visa for such a long time or longer (at least 5-6 years) or would I have to apply for something else?
And do you have any suggestions how I should prepare me for this big step? I know there is so much to organize and to consider but I don’t know where to start.
Also, do you know some good universities/colleges in those 3 states?
And what does an average college/university cost? What should I expect?
I was looking at the University of North Alabama, would you consider this as an expensive University?
